Enjoy a Quiet Vacation in Key Biscayne on your Miami Tour

Once a coconut plantation, the island of Key Biscayne is just 10 minutes from Miami. This is the home of the

classic Rusty Pelican and the Miami Seaquarium, the best place to treat the kids to a close encounter with

marine life. Then again, there’s much more to the village of Key Biscayne if you are looking for a bit of peace

and quiet away from the Miami buzz.

Biscayne Nature Center

To say that Key Biscayne is a haven for nature lovers is an understatement. Crandon Park on the island is one of

the ideal places to soak in the best of what nature has to offer. The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature

Center at the park overlooks the Atlantic dunes and beach and is where you get to learn more about

environmental protection. The center offers an array of marine exploration outings to experience nature at its

best. This includes walks through tidal pools, hammock hikes, exploring the seagrass, and much more.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park

The park is home to the county’s oldest standing structure, the Boca Chita lighthouse built in 1825. It is also

ranked as among the country’s top 10 beaches with a mile-long spectacular beachfront. There are guided

lighthouse tours while anglers have a terrific opportunity to cast a line from the seawall. The park is home to

two restaurants when hunger calls.

Crandon Golf/Tennis

Avid golfers have every reason to tee off at Crandon Golf, Miami’s 18-hole championship course and the only

public golf course on Biscayne Bay. The course is surrounded by island wildlife, water, and tropical foliage and

is also rated one of the most difficult par-72 courses in the state. The course features a putting green, clubhouse,

driving range and a pro shop as well.

Crandon Park Tennis Center is where the tennis greats gather for premier events like the Miami Open. It

doubles as the Miami-Dade County open to public all the year round when the Miami Open is not in progress.

Boat Tours

Most people head to Key Biscayne for its incredible range of boat tours. It’s a sparkling way to explore the best

of Biscayne National Park, enjoy snorkeling over living coral reefs in its Marine Park and swim among

hundreds of species of colorful fish. There are also bonefishing charters that make for an incredible day out on

Biscayne Bay.

The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne

If you wish to pamper yourself and relax and unwind in luxury then the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is where

you can have it all. The family resort has all the trappings of an elegant, tropical resort and features a lavish spa,

an array of oceanfront dining options, tennis courts, and more.

It is not surprising that Key Biscayne’s residents want their island kept a secret but that doesn’t mean they don’t

welcome visitors with open arms. If you are looking for the perfect escape on a vacation in a secluded

neighborhood then Key Biscayne could be the ideal alternative. Just make sure to contact us for the best
