A Few Things to do in Miami

Miami has changed a lot since the 1980s when developers began refurbishing its Art Deco buildings. The once

fading resort was back on the tourist map and is now one of the hottest vacation destinations. From its Art deco

attractions to Cuban food in Little Havana and hanging out with the locals at Ocean Drive’s trendy cafes and

bars, we promise you won’t ever be left contemplating what to do in Miami.

Walking and Biking Tours

To begin with, the city has an excellent public transit system so you don’t really need a car. Yes, walking and

biking tours are the in thing in Miami, something that we strongly recommend if you want to soak in the sights

and sounds of the city. Art lovers and foodies ought to make the most of the Miami Food and Art Walking tour

of Miami's vibrant Wynwood neighborhood.

The two and a half hour tour will have you experience the best of Puerto Rican, Peruvian, and Southern food

and amazing art at some of the city’s renowned art galleries. For a taste of Cuban flavors, all you need is to join

a food and bike tour of Little Havana and get to visit important landmarks like the Freedom Tower in

Downtown Miami.

South Beach

The city is a mixed bag of neighborhoods and of course, Miami Beach, where you ought to spend time hanging

out, soaking in the sun, sipping mojitos, and checkout out its natural beauty. South Beach is definitely the place

to visit if you are looking trendy places to shop, eat, and enjoy the city’s nightlife at many of its trendy

nightclubs. From 15th to 23rd street, the area includes the pedestrian thoroughfare of Lincoln Road, the hub of

SoBe’s nightlife.

Family Attractions

When vacationing with family, you would want to put in as much as possible for the kids to seek. Zoo Miami

and Jungle Island bring out the best of wildlife courtesy its exhibits, shows, and animal encounters. The kids

would love the opportunity to come face to face with a variety of animals including howler monkeys and

lemurs, feed giraffes, and watch tigers being fed.

Zoo Miami is where you get to see Komodo dragons and other exotic creatures from around the world. Dr.

Wilde’s World at the zoo is a must visit for some great insight into the rainforests and hands-on fun.

Alternatively, you could hop on the monorail for a complete tour around the park.

Jungle Island off MacArthur Causeway is home to over 1,100 species of birds that mingle with giant reptiles

and exotic primates. There are a number of shows that include Winged Wonders where Amazons and Andean

condors do a great job of singing and Reptile Giants, which offers visitors a unique perspective of crocodiles

and alligators.

Little Havana

A third of Miami’s 2 million residents are packed in the neighborhood of Little Havana, a must visit on your

trip to the city. Its main drag is Calle Ocho or Eighth Street, where you will find everything from authentic

Cuban cuisine to cigars, and coffee. The Cubaocho Museum and Gallery is the place to learn about Cuban art

and culture while there are plenty of nightclubs like Hoy Como Ayer to shake a leg.

Then again, there’s so much more to Miami. The best Miami tours, affordable packages, and tips on how to
